Paul Soye’s most recent publication is Two Lives (Mayo Books Press, 2024). Set in a rural community in the west of Ireland, some of it in Letterfrack, it tells the story of Gavigan and Natasha as they seek to overcome adversity and childhood trauma. Paul Soye’s debut novel was The Boy in the Gap (Liberties Press). He is also the author of the plays, Cherished and The Bridgecage. In 2002, Soye was shortlisted for the BBC’s Tony Doyle Award. His play, In Irons, was broadcast on RTE’s Sunday Playhouse. Paul lives in Co Mayo and he volunteers with Fighting Words.

Sharon Murphy is a singer, songwriter and performer of Irish and Carribbean heritage who grew up in the West of Ireland, spending her early years in St. Joseph’s orphanage in Clifden. Sharon has performed extensively in England, Germany, USA, and throughout Ireland. She recorded two studio albums, Invisible Walls (1998) and I am Where I Belong (2015). She has appeared regularly on national TV and radio and was the main subject in Mary Phelan’s documentary, Growing Up Different in Ireland, and in Lorelei Harris’s Fragments Of Sharon.
